SidePinner Terms of Service

1. Operator and service

SidePinner is operated by Reynolds Li, an independent developer. Contact: reynolds.leen@icloud.com. These terms cover the SidePinner website, browser extension, and synchronization service. By using SidePinner you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

SidePinner provides AI chat navigation, bookmarks, organization, and exports. It is a digital software service with no physical goods or shipping. Supported AI platforms are independent services; SidePinner is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Notion, or Obsidian. You must comply with their terms and have permission to process or export the content you use.

2. Free features, Pro, and trial

The Free version provides core navigation, marking, local search, Markdown copy, TXT export, and up to two custom folders. Pro adds unlimited custom folders, cloud synchronization across signed-in browsers, and advanced Notion and Obsidian exports. Compatibility and third-party integrations may change as supported platforms change. Obsidian export requires Obsidian and the Advanced URI community plugin; Notion export requires Notion authorization. Google sign-in is available for cloud synchronization.

You can start a 7-day Pro trial in the extension without providing a payment card. The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription and does not automatically charge you. After it ends, paid features require a separate Pro purchase or valid activation; Free features remain available. Export important content before changing plans. Cloud synchronization is a convenience and is not a guarantee of permanent or loss-free backup.

3. Prices and recurring billing

SidePinner Pro costs US$6.99 per month, billed monthly, or US$59.99 per year, billed annually. These are alternative recurring plans, not lifetime purchases. Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated and displayed by Creem before payment; your bank may apply currency conversion fees. Review the total, currency, and billing interval at checkout before authorizing payment.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual period until cancelled. Creem is the Merchant of Record and handles payment processing, taxes, receipts, and subscription billing under the terms presented at checkout. We do not collect your full payment-card information. Future price changes will be disclosed before they apply, with notice and cancellation rights as required by law; completed purchases are not retroactively repriced.

4. Delivery and activation

The extension is installed in your browser; Pro is delivered digitally. Follow the purchase and activation instructions provided with your order. The current extension supports activation codes; do not assume that opening checkout automatically activates the extension. If you have paid but cannot activate Pro, email reynolds.leen@icloud.com with your purchase email and order reference. Never send payment-card details or account passwords. Paid access is for the purchased subscription period, subject to cancellation, refund, or termination under these terms.

5. Managing and cancelling subscriptions

Manage or cancel your subscription through Creem's customer portal, accessible through your purchase or subscription email. If you cannot access the portal, email reynolds.leen@icloud.com for assistance before your next renewal. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future charges. Removing the extension, signing out, or disconnecting cloud synchronization does not cancel billing.

Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access ordinarily continues until the end of the period already paid for unless a refund or another applicable requirement ends it earlier. Cancelling does not automatically refund previous charges or erase local, cloud, or exported data. Keep your cancellation confirmation and contact support if a charge occurs after an effective cancellation.

6. Refund policy

To request a refund, email reynolds.leen@icloud.com with your purchase email, order reference, purchase date, and reason. You may also use Creem's support options for a transaction. We review refund requests individually, including duplicate charges, activation failures, and material service problems, in coordination with Creem. There is no additional blanket money-back guarantee or automatic pro-rata refund of unused subscription time under this policy. Cancellation alone is not a refund request.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal right, remedies for defective digital services, or refunds required by law or by the terms of the purchase. Any consent relating to immediate delivery of digital services is governed by the checkout disclosures and applicable law. Approved refunds are processed through Creem to the original payment method; bank processing times vary. Refunded Pro access may end when the refund is processed.

7. Your content and responsibilities

You retain rights to your content. You authorize the processing necessary to display, store, synchronize, and export content when you use those features, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload illegal content, content that infringes others' rights, or confidential information you lack permission to share. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or resell activation codes without authorization. You are responsible for your device, account security, export destinations, and independent backups.

8. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains local processing, cloud synchronization, sign-in, payment providers, and optional exports. Third-party services have their own terms, prices, availability, and privacy practices. Cancelling SidePinner does not delete copies already exported to Notion, Obsidian, or other destinations. 9. Availability, suspension, and liability

We work to maintain SidePinner but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, compatibility with every platform update, or recovery of all data. Where permitted by law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties. We may restrict access when necessary to address abuse, security issues, or legal requirements, with notice where practical and legally required. Any prepaid access and refund consequences remain subject to applicable consumer law and these terms.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limit mandatory consumer protections. If we discontinue a paid service, we will provide notice and address unused prepaid access as required by applicable law.

10. Changes and questions

We may update these terms and will revise the effective date. Material changes affecting paid subscriptions will be communicated as required by applicable law.
